As the Head of State, King Charles has a responsibility to remain politically neutral, providing guidance and advice to prime ministers in order to govern Britain in the best possible way. Still, he is the only one with the ability to appoint a new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, who would not be able to embark on this role without King Charles III’s approval.

Intriguingly, while politicians may draft and introduce new legislation, King Charles has the ability to change the law on his own. This is because he has the power to veto any law, thereby blocking the entire government from proceeding with passing a bill into law.
